Passionate, driven and vivacious, Brodie is 26 years old and has made quite a name for herself in the world of Surf Life Saving. Brodie is the now current World Ironwoman Champion and Coolangatta Gold Champion. Currently residing on the Gold Coast and competing for North Burleigh SLSC, Brodie is often known as “Moir” or “Brodes”.
Brodie loves the lifestyle she has on the Gold Coast and it’s ideal climate for training all year round. After a rocky start to the surf life saving environment (Running down to the water’s edge, putting her big toe into the water and then running back to the safety of the beach), Brodie has successfully been competing in the industry for almost 20 years and for the past six years, has been a strong competitor on the professional Ironwoman Series.
Since she can remember, the dream of becoming one of Australia’s top Ironwomen has been the heart of Brodie’s focus. Today, this dream is being realised through nothing but a strong positive attitude, hard work and sheer determination.
Brodie’s family are her proudest, strongest and loudest support group. And not to mention, always keep her grounded. Working with children is another of Brodie’s passions in life, and so, is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at Griffith University.
When she’s not in training…and studying, Brodie spends her down time catching up with family and friends especially her three wild little nieces, relaxing and a passion for fashion of course!.
